KMB 2008 (Kembara Motorsikal Borneo 2008) is supported by the Malaysian Tourism Ministry and amongst the 20 registered participants it combines the entry of three international motoring journalists plus a rep from msportbike, being the local publication :-)
1) Thomas Wielecki of TWO WHEELS (Australia) 2) Howard Stafford of FRICTION ZONE (U.S.A) 3) Kenneth Robert Freund of BIKE SA (South Africa) 4) Norman Rahman of MSPORTBIKE (Malaysia)
For a period of 12 days, the group will travel the entire length of (North-West) Borneo, also will be visiting and stopping at major tourist destinations which is eco-tourism driven. This includes stops at the Cultural Village in Kuching, Gunung Gading National Park , Semenggoh Wildlife Sanctuary; Mulu Cave National Park which is a World Heritage site or a visit to Niah Cave National Park. And this is just in Sarawak. And in Sabah, the journey commences to Beaufort taking a train ride which dates back to the colonial era to Padas for a grade III-IV white water rafting, the unspoilt Kudat for the beaches and so on.

The 20-pax strong group anticipates to hit an estimated 2500 km (around 1600 miles) throughout the journey.
